ame-Day Responsibilities, Conduct & Enforcement
TEBA team owners are responsible for ensuring their teams arrive prepared, eligible, properly staffed, and ready to participate professionally in league competition.
Game-Day Readiness
Before every official TEBA game, each team is responsible for ensuring:
– All participating players are properly registered and eligible.
– All required player contracts have been completed and signed.
– The team’s official roster is accurate and current.
– Required player documentation has been submitted and approved.
– Players are wearing league-approved uniforms.
– Required coaches and team personnel are available.
– Applicable game-day financial obligations have been satisfied.
A player who has not satisfied TEBA eligibility requirements may not participate simply because the player is present at the venue or listed by the team.
Home-Team Responsibilities
When a team is designated as the host for a TEBA game day, the owner is responsible for cooperating with TEBA on the operation of that game day.
The host team’s responsibilities may include:
– Required game-day staffing expenses.
– Game-day escrow payments.
– Coordination with TEBA regarding the venue and schedule.
– Ensuring the team is prepared for its scheduled game.
– Following league instructions related to game-day operations.
TEBA will communicate applicable game-day expenses and requirements to the host team.
Game-Day Escrow
When TEBA requires funds to be placed into escrow for game-day operations, the responsible team must submit the required amount by the league-established deadline.
These funds are used for approved game-day operational expenses, including applicable game-day personnel.
TEBA may provide the team with the applicable expense ledger when requested or required.
Player Eligibility
Owners and coaches are responsible for confirming that every player used in a game is eligible.
Using an ineligible player may result in disciplinary action against the player and/or team, including possible game forfeiture.
Roster eligibility includes compliance with applicable contracts, roster classifications, league registration, and other TEBA requirements.
Playoff Eligibility
A player must participate in at least three (3) regular-season TEBA games to be eligible for the TEBA Playoffs.
Teams are responsible for monitoring player participation throughout the regular season.
Adding a player to the roster does not, by itself, satisfy the playoff-participation requirement.
Player Welfare
Owners must honor approved contractual commitments made to players and team personnel.
When a team has agreed to provide housing, transportation, compensation, or another benefit as part of a player’s or staff member’s agreement, the owner is responsible for fulfilling that commitment.
Teams must not knowingly place players or staff in unsafe or inappropriate conditions.
Professional Conduct
Owners, coaches, players, and team representatives are expected to conduct themselves professionally toward:
– Game officials.
– Opposing players and coaches.
– Other team owners.
– TEBA personnel.
– Venue personnel.
– Sponsors and league partners.
– Fans and members of the public.
Disagreement with an official, another team, or TEBA decision does not excuse threatening, abusive, discriminatory, or seriously disruptive conduct.
Competitive Integrity
Teams may not intentionally circumvent TEBA rules to gain an improper competitive advantage.
Prohibited conduct includes knowingly using ineligible players, falsifying player documentation, concealing compensation, manipulating player classifications, or using unauthorized roster or transaction arrangements.
Owner Accountability
Team owners are responsible for the administration of their teams.
Owners are expected to cooperate with reasonable TEBA investigations involving eligibility, contracts, compensation, roster compliance, financial obligations, or misconduct.
An owner may be held accountable for violations committed by individuals acting on behalf of the team when appropriate.
Disciplinary Action
Depending on the nature and severity of a violation, TEBA may impose disciplinary action including:
– Formal warning.
– Fine.
– Player suspension or ineligibility.
– Loss or restriction of team privileges.
– Transaction or roster restrictions.
– Game forfeiture.
– Playoff ineligibility.
– Loss of draft selections.
– Team suspension.
– Suspension of ownership privileges.
– Removal from TEBA League.
Where another TEBA rule establishes a specific penalty for a violation, that specific penalty may apply.
Repeated or Serious Violations
Repeated violations may result in progressively stronger disciplinary action.
TEBA may impose stronger sanctions immediately when a violation involves serious financial misconduct, player welfare, falsified documentation, competitive integrity, threats, or other substantial misconduct.
League Authority
TEBA League retains final authority over player eligibility, game-day participation, interpretation of league regulations, investigations, and disciplinary decisions.
Team owners are responsible for complying with current published TEBA rules and official league notices applicable to their team.
