TEBA uses its draft, tryout, waiver, trade, and player-transaction systems to maintain competitive integrity and provide an organized process for acquiring players.
Owners and team personnel must use league-approved procedures when building or changing a roster.
TEBA Draft
The number of teams participating in the TEBA Draft is determined by the number of active TEBA teams for that season.
The draft consists of two (2) rounds.
Each team receives two (2) selections per round, giving each team a total of four (4) draft selections.
For the 2026 season, TEBA has eight (8) participating teams. Therefore:
– 8 teams participate in the draft.
– Each team receives 2 selections in Round 1.
– Each team receives 2 selections in Round 2.
– Each team receives 4 total selections.
– The complete draft consists of 32 selections.
The draft order and any special selection requirements are established by TEBA for each season.
Teams are responsible for confirming a player’s eligibility and classification before selecting that player.
Team Tryouts
Each team may conduct its league-authorized tryouts according to TEBA requirements.
TEBA’s current structure provides for two tryouts per team, with tryouts livestreamed as required by the league.
A team may reserve one player from each tryout, allowing a maximum of two reserved players through this process.
Tryouts may not be used to circumvent draft, import, salary, roster, or player-eligibility rules.
Unsigned League Promotions
TEBA’s Unsigned League provides a development pathway for qualifying players to advance to TEBA.
Any special roster position or eligibility provided to an Unsigned League player must comply with the applicable TEBA roster rules.
First-year teams should refer to the separate Import, Expat & Roster Classification Rules for the special Unsigned League import position.
Post-Draft Transaction Window
Following the TEBA Draft, teams receive a five-day transaction window for applicable waivers and trades.
All transactions must be properly reported and approved or recorded through the league’s required process.
Trades
Teams may trade eligible players and applicable player rights in accordance with TEBA rules.
A private agreement between teams is not considered final until all required information has been submitted to and recognized by TEBA.
The 2026 trade deadline is:
December 8, 2026
Transactions submitted after the deadline are not permitted unless specifically authorized under another league rule.
Waivers and Free Agency
Players released from a roster must go through the applicable TEBA waiver or free-agent process.
Owners may not use an informal release, private arrangement, or undisclosed agreement to bypass league transaction requirements.
Pre-Draft Agreements and Circumvention
Teams may not enter prohibited private arrangements designed to predetermine draft selections, circumvent player eligibility, avoid salary rules, or otherwise defeat the purpose of the TEBA Draft.
Any player reservation, draft right, trade, waiver, or free-agent acquisition must comply with the applicable league process.
Transaction Responsibility
Owners are responsible for confirming that roster space is available and that a player’s classification, contract, compensation, and eligibility comply with TEBA rules before completing a transaction.
A transaction does not override TEBA’s roster, import, expat, salary, or eligibility requirements.
