HISTORY MADE: KORAT SKY-LIONS SIGN ANULUCK RAKNGAM AS FIRST PLAYER IN FRANCHISE HISTORY

KORAT, THAILAND – The Korat Sky-Lions have officially begun building their inaugural roster with a historic first signing. Today, the front office confirmed the acquisition of Thai standout Anuluck Rakngam, making him the first player to officially wear the Sky-Lions colors for the upcoming 2026 TEBA season.

The signing marks a pivotal moment for the expansion franchise, signaling a commitment to elite local talent as the foundation of the team’s identity.

The “True Professional” Standard

Rakngam was selected not only for his dynamic playmaking and on-court versatility but for his character and professionalism. As the franchise’s first signing, he represents the “True Professional” standard that the Sky-Lions and Head Coach Edmund Ray Manuel have set for the organization.

“Anuluck is exactly the type of foundational piece we were looking for, he has been the most responsive as of yet” said Sky-Lions Ownership. “He understands the mission of the Sky-Lions—to compete at the highest international level while serving as a mentor for the next generation. Bringing him on board as our first local Thailand player is a statement that the Pride is ready to work.”

A Pillar for the Community

In addition to his responsibilities on the hardwood, Rakngam will play a key role in the Sky-Lions’ Community and Youth Development Initiatives. As the first local face of the franchise, he will help bridge the gap between professional sports and the youth of Korat, embodying the team’s mission to create achievable pathways for aspiring athletes.

Building the Roster

With Rakngam locked in, the Sky-Lions front office continues its global search for talent. The team is currently preparing for its U.S. Pro Tryouts in Coral Springs, Florida, on May 15th, where they look to find the next pieces to join Rakngam on the 2026 roster.
