{"id":1342,"date":"2024-05-20T14:28:00","date_gmt":"2024-05-20T14:28:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.tebaleague.com\/draft\/?page_id=1342"},"modified":"2026-05-20T14:29:08","modified_gmt":"2026-05-20T14:29:08","slug":"draft-eligibility","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.tebaleague.com\/draft\/draft-eligibility\/","title":{"rendered":"Draft Eligibility\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Draft Eligibility &amp; Nomination Process<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To become draft eligible, a player must attend an official team tryout and be selected by that team as one of its <strong>Top 5 prospects<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Teams evaluate players through in-person workouts so they can see each player\u2019s skills, attitude, conditioning, and overall fit before deciding who they may want to build their roster around.<\/p>\n<p>After the tryout, each team is required to inform players whether they were selected as a <strong>Top 5 prospect<\/strong> or not. Only players officially nominated as Top 5 prospects will be entered into the draft pool.<\/p>\n<p>Players who are not selected as a Top 5 prospect at a tryout will not be draft eligible unless another team later evaluates them in person and officially nominates them as one of its Top 5 prospects.<\/p>\n<p>There are no honorable mentions or secondary nominations.
